Welcome to Burton Dassett Gardening Club

Update 2022: After the interminable period of lockdown and restrictions at last there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel with most people protected against the virus, the Village Hall open again and gardening speakers starting to be available. The Garden Club Committee have organised some garden visits this summer and we will restart our programme of evening meetings from September 2022.

Until then we will not be taking subscriptions from members and we are not currently accepting new members but we will be from September 2022.

We are also hoping that we will be able to organise an event to celebrate our 25 years as a Club and will contact members with details when we have firmed up ideas.

BDGC is a small friendly club for keen gardeners of all levels of experience.

We currently have members from Burton Dassett, Northend, Knightcote, Fenny Compton and other local villages. In non-pandemic times we meet at 7.30 pm in Knightcote Village Hall on the second Monday of the month, from September to April, with guest speakers on a variety of horticultural topics. In the summer months we organise visits to local gardens and occasionally arrange coach trips to visit gardens further afield.

You don’t need to be an expert to join us. Our club is about making gardening interesting, maybe learning some new things and having a bit of fun along the way. Even if you are an experienced gardener, we will have topics to interest you as well as inspiration from garden visits.

Benefits of membership include affiliated RHS membership giving club members access to RHS offers and advice, and discounts at two local garden centres.

Guests are always welcome at our evening meetings. Just come along – we’d love to see you or contact us via the form on our contact page.
